Daily Prompt: Dear Mom
Write a letter to your mom. Tell her something you’ve always wanted to say, but haven’t been able to.
I was going to write a letter to my mom, and still might, but that will be difficult, painful, and I’m not sure I really want to do it. What I’m doing instead, is writing a letter to my Mom-in-laws. Mr. The Cheeky Diva’s incredible mom and step mom.

She’s a nice girl, but she’s just so……kooky! That’s it. But, our boy likes kooky..match made in heaven I guess.
Dear Jo and Gina,
You are two of the most wonderful and admirable women I have ever met, and I’m so happy and honored to be a part of this family. It’s so nice to finally have a mother/daughter relationship like I always hoped to have. Bonus for me, I get to do that with 2 count-em 2 wonderful moms!
I love each of you for different reasons, but you do share many traits in common that I admire. You’re both sweet, you’re both funny, and you’re both totally badass!
I admire both of you for your sense of humor, your strength and your positive attitudes. I hope when I have a huge family of kids and grandkids to herd and guide, that I can do it with the same kindness, patience and warmth that I have seen so many times from you both.
Life has thrown each of you some curveballs, but you fight your battles like ninjas, with a stiff upper lip, a deep faith, and knowing that “hell yeah, I’m gonna win this, just watch me!” Can’t tell you how much I admire that, especially days (like yesterday) when I’m knee-deep in a pity party I don’t really deserve to give myself. (Shame on me.)
I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you feel safe knowing your dear boy is in good hands, and that I will do everything in my power to make sure he has lots of “super sparkly” days ahead of him.
I wish we could see you more, and here’s hoping that you too, have many “super sparkly” days as well.
Love ya both so much!
Your squirrely dork-in-law,
Julie

You got it all going on girl! Hope they read this great post!
I know they will, Gina subscribes by email so if Jo doesn’t see it on Facebook, Mr Cheekys sister will pass it along to her. Wish we could see them for Xmas, but since it falls on a Tuesday, and we both have to work Monday and Wednesday, and it’s a 3 hour drive one way, it just isn’t going to happen this year.
After they read this, they’ll smile all the way through.
Hope so. Grrr. Third day this week it’s not on the DP page. Support is trying to help, but as yet, to no avail.

Perfect idea! Love this!
How, hi are you? I am very interested in your article and would like to learn more on this subject. I am a real person. I am not a bot person or a spam person. Your blog has much useful information stuff to learn about things. Would you like to buy some pills that make your naughty bits quite a much bigger?
Oh cut it out! I want my dear Mom in laws to read this! You’re too funny. Working on the letter to my bio mom. It will only be publicized to Twitter, so look for it later if I have the guts to actually hit publish.
okay… sorry…
This comment DID end up in my spam folder. What’s up with that?
I am awesomespam.
This is very sweet. Will either of them read it?
Gina reads every day. Jo will probably see it on facebook. If you want to see the letter I wrote to my real mom, click on My Not So Cheeky Thoughts. But I’m going to delete this comment after you get a chance to read it. Don’t want to lead too many people there. I just had a few things I needed to get off of my chest.
I really like this, it’s good for us MILs to hear something nice! Maybe it’ll inspire my DIL to write me!!
They are pretty darn cool. I hope she does! I hope to be an awesome mother in law someday myself.
It’s tougher than you think…that’s all I can say.
My oldest boy has a pretty serious girlfriend, and she’s just a doll. I’m hoping they get married someday. I have a new stepdaughter, but she lives pretty far away, and I’ve only met her a few times. She’s a lovely young woman, but I’m afraid we won’t ever get the opportunity to be close friends due to distance.
They’re lucky to have a nice mom like you.
Awwww, I’m nice, but I’m also full on mental. That makes me a fun mom too.
keeps them on their toes! All girls are mental, who wouldn’t be with all those hormones?
Great post…and delightful black and white photo (I love the tag!)
HI there, thanks for reading. That’s one of my favorite pictures. I use it in a lot of posts. It’s good for a ton of captions.
