I’ve long been a fan of OPI nail polish, but stopped using it a couple of years ago when I was introduced to the gel nail colors that last for two to three weeks after having been cured under a light that my husband likes to call a “nuclear oven” .
I have missed all my old favorites, but I don’t miss waiting for polish to dry, chipping, peeling polish and having to do my nails once a week with a touch up in between manicures.
Thanks to my blog pal, the lovely and talented Polish Alcoholic, I’ve been clued into something I’ve been waiting for for a long time. If you love nails, and who doesn’t??! Please check out her blog. I don’t know how she does it, but she posts pics of beautiful manicures almost daily, highlighting different techniques and polishes, and they are her own natural nails.
Well, I don’t have to choose anymore! This may be old news to some, but I just found out that OPI has a line of gel colors available, with a wide variety of colors, including my all time favorite, I’m Really Not A Waitress! That’s right, along with a buffet of new colors, many of the classic colors are included in this collection, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
These are readily available all over the internet wherever polish is sold, so if you are a gel nail fanatic, who misses your old standby Cosmo-Not Tonight Honey, then hop on to your favorite website and put your old favorites into your new collection of gel polish, like I’m going to do right about now.

OPI is so amazing, I love these colors!
I know, right! I can’t wait to replace my old faves with gel polish. I haven’t used regular polish for at least a couple of years. No comparison with shine and wear. Gosh, listen to me being all girly and shit. LOL.
I know, right? lol
You have no idea how positively awesome this is. I’ve been waiting so long for this.
Believe it or not Twindaddy, I do have a few female readers. Among them, there must be at least one or two who like to have pretty nails. So, in it’s limited appeal, this post is a public service announcement. So sorry I made you erroneously click here when I have posted something so girly. Next time I’ll warn you.
Reblogged this on cftc10.
I hope you try them out and tell us how good this formula is
I havent even heard of this line before.
You’ve never heard of OPI? Where I live, it was THE salon standard before the advent of gel polish and Shellac. I used it for years. I will definitely let you know. I’ll just have to alert my guy friends not to click when I’m gonna post something girly. LOL.;-)
LOL no i mean i havent heard of this particular line of OPI.
)
(am i too sleepy? I might need to read your post tomorrow again
Oh, sorry. Maybe I didn’t read your comment well enough. I hadn’t heard about it until today either. I just hadta tell all my pals about it.
Do not use nail polish instead of colored contact lenses… just sayin’…
Good to know, I wouldn’t want to try and fit my head in that little lamp or find out how it feels to have nail polish cured to my eyeballs like composite dental fillings. Thanks so much for the warning.
I am here to help.
Ooh this is exciting stuff!! I LOVE bright colors!!
Did you check out Polish Alcoholic’s blog? She’s got a pic of a black polish with purple sparkles and I want it! But it’s not a gel color. bummer!
No I haven’t! I shall mosey on over when I get to my computer
Erma Gerd. No fucking way. I’m going to stop following all my accessory blogs this minute, because none of them told me of this. You’re all the accessory blog I need now. You think I’m kidding, but I’m not. I’m still gonna follow all the fashion blogs I follow, though. Seven Dollar Pants, for example.
Ahww you are TOO sweet! Thanks for mentioning me hunni!
Please let me know if you got and tried one of OPI’s gel colors!
Big hug for you because you rock!
Big hug back for letting me know about it! I plan to get some as soon as I can, and I will definitely let you know how it looks and wears.
I gave up on wearing nail polish years ago. I am one of the unfortunate ladies who has very soft nails. If I let them grow a little long (like longer than the end of each finger) they tend to bend right over the ends like claws. My pinkie nails curl around the sides of my pinkies. Because they are soft, they tend to grow long without any trouble at all & I have to cut them or file them down every week – they very rarely break!
