Hey Kids!
Here we are again, yet another Thursday, and your craptastic haiku depository is open for business! Today, like most days right now, I’m feeling pretty irritated with the weather. We are itching to see something green around here besides the street signs. So, here are some lovely springy type pictures to brighten your day and inspire some of the lamest haikus to ever pollute the interwebs!
Time for some color
Besides gray and white and brown
Come on spring! Unfold (already)
I don’t like to mow
But I really miss green grass
sprout, little blades, sprout!
Tree in my back yard
No blossoms or berries yet,
Hel-Lo! I’m waiting!
Lovely parks empty
Anxious to see them lively
Hope groundhog was right.
Okay, I’ve got you started, and provided you with loverly inspiring pictures. Let have some haikus already! We’re not getting any younger!

We need Spring springing
drab colors, and winter white
need to go hiking
Just want to sit on
my porch and drink some cold beers
you can hike for me (cuz I’m a lazy fat lard)
I feel so guilty -
I live in Los Angeles
and its lovely here.
Flowers and bushes
are blooming as usual
and Spring has sprung now.
Sorry!
You guys have spring all year round! I have a friend who lives in San Diego, and he never fails to remind me of his perfect weather. He’s a Nebraska boy, but doesn’t miss our wild weather. Don’t feel guilty. Everyone has to live somewhere, right?
And I grew up in San Diego – I’m just spoiled rotten when it comes to weather
.
Well, I guess living in Nebraska should have made me tough, and used to this, but really, I’m just a big whiny baby. Waaa-haa-haaaa.
Thank you for visiting my blog… and pinging back my Last September Haiku collection. Hope you liked them
Anytime! I love to highlight real poetry on Thursday to offset the abominations created here by me and my cheeky readers!
hahahaha
great! nice blog by the way.
Thank you so much! Being the lamest site on the internets is actually harder than it looks.
I dream of sunshine
But wake to terminal gray
Make it stop now please
I know how you feel!
I am so over winter!
Hope all’s well with you!
The bluebirds favor
the neighbors’ heated birdbath.
Now I jones for one.
Ha! That’s great! I didn’t even know there was such a thing. A hot tub for birds.
February ick
March is kind of stinky too
Then April comes. Yay!
“March is kind of stinky too” ~Ha ha! That one made me laugh! Thanks!
I like the flowers…
I could watch them for hours…
In gentle showers…
I love the flowers…
In their ivory towers…
Like small Matt Lauers…
I adore flowers…
They have magical powers…
Until it sours…
Little Matt Lauers
Have magical powers
….um, I got nothin.
Thanks for the poem, it was awesome!
I do what I can…
Little Natt Lauers
Have magical powere,
While poor Al glowers…
Thank you! You’re a genius!
Spring can wait a bit,
Boo me if you feel like it,
I want to go board.
Kiddo on the way,
Has meant no time in the snow,
This long, cold winter.
Kiddo almost here,
Means if there is still some snow,
We can go this spring.
So keep your wishes,
For color and warmth and greens,
To your bloody selves!
I’m not going to boo
To each his own, dad to be
Just can’t share your view
I’m an awful wuss
It’s been cold too long for me
I’m just impatient
True, to each their own
I hope spring finds your neck o’ woods
While winter stays here
I said “Screw winter!”
So ran to the park barefoot
Now can’t feel my toes
My dearest Cheeky
You must leave winter alone
I love me some snow
I can’t help it! Blecch!
I’m a spring and autumn girl
Like my mild weather.
Supine from a slip,
I lay, angry, on the ice.
This job ain’t worth it.
(A true story. commuting to a bad job at an ungodly hour in a freezing February long ago, I slipped and fell (in a suit) on the way to the bus. Got in to work and gave my notice. Just wasn’t worth it.)
Wow! I hear ya. I’m right there now. My job is 65% boredom and 35% loathing for my company. Definitely time to move on.
In a bad bad mood
Give me a break will ya soon
Spring is not coming
ditto ditto dit
ditto and ditto some more
Is that 5-7-5?
Who cares, I’m with you.
ha ha – cold and wet and windy here – tomorrow is the first day of March and I take down all my snowmen – maybe that will be a good omen
yum yum yum yum yum
I love eating Bottle Caps
yum yum yum yum yum
I was on the phone when I read this, and almost burst out laughing at a very inappropriate moment as my real world BFF told me about her upcoming knee surgery. Nice work again, Edward.
Oh, thank you. Sorry I made you laugh inappropriately.
Red-breasted robins
I saw the other day. I
think they were confused.
Too cold and snowy
for them I fear, far back south
I want to go too
The only Robin I’ve seen lately is Burt Ward. I bet you aren’t even old enough to know who that is.

Sunshine?….Is the Pope Polish?
Ohh yeah wait…what Pope?
Sending rays to you.
Hoping you see green real soon!
We are now sneezing.
Thanks. Hoping for some extreme meltage this weekend!
