Please Join Me On LinkedIn…For A Little Fun

Hi there everyone!

I know that we all love to read and write, and if you aren’t on LinkedIn yet, you should be.  Learning more about it and how to use it to your advantage is just one more thing I’m adding to my ever increasing “to do” list.

Today, I started poking around for groups to join and I found some.  I even started one.  One just for us.  Me and people like me.  Crazy, zany off the wall people who love to write and know that even if it’s humor, it’s serious business.

I’m already connected to some of you on LinkedIn, and many of you got an invitation to join this group.  If we’re connected and you didn’t get an invite, my apologies.

My group is called Dorks Unite~Silly People Serious About Writing, and has this creepy little girl for the logo:

Gaaaa! Can't miss this one!

Gaaaa! Can’t miss this one!

So, even if we aren’t connected, and even if you’re not a regular reader, please consider joining anyway.  Just a place for oddballs who like to write to hang out.  No pressure.

I’ve already got a few members, some of them you may know. One of them is tomorrow’s guest blogger, the lovely and talented Natalie Beech.  Please drop by tomorrow to read her words of wisdom.

I plan to write about my crazy adventures in the world of social media and how surreal it all is sometime in the future, but in the meantime, I’ll try to drop in here as often as I can to let a little weird leak out of my head so it doesn’t explode.

  1. I don’t understand the purpose of Linked In. I joined it years ago because I thought it was a sight for promoting yourself in your career. But I’ve never been back because I couldn’t see the point of it.

    • That’s exactly what it is. I’m just really learning how to work it. Finding a lot of people there in my areas of interests. How far it will actually further my career remains to be seen. Kinda like Facebook without all the baby pictures and Some-e-cards. ;-)

Well.....let's hear it!
